Storejam, founded and run by the mighty Phatplayaz is going from strength to strength.  Here is the monthly Newsletter from the Storejam team:

The online store is now functioning with loads of new releases added every week, site traffic is growing with exclusive music being downloaded all over the world. The team are working tirelessly to source the best and freshest music from all corners of the globe and get it licensed and ready to download in a matter of days.

The word is definitely out, we are speaking with new labels all the time and will be bringing them on board as soon as we can. The release schedule will be seriously increasing in quantity over the next couple of months as all the hard work comes to fruition and a much more varied and comprehensive selection will be ready to browse each and every Monday.

Big hitting labels Fokuz and Celsius continue with a heavy presence in the store. Fokuz have tunes dropping from Nelver & Simplification, Paramount and Joakuim & Pixel amongst others. We have more Brazilian flavour from diskool records with artist Koil and IM:LTD come in with pieces from Gerwin and Atmospherix & S-VB. Metta recordings also have some beats scheduled fro February. And remember, all the music currently available on the store is still fresh due to the fact that they are hot out of the studio and not languishing on label heads hard drives for months.

Merchandise sales have been brisk the last few weeks as more people are wanting to be associated with and show support for our cutting edge concept. Branded bags, hats and t-shirts are all in stock and ready to ship worldwide.

Plans are to take the Storejam team on tour later in the year, so keep your eyes pealed and let us know if you want us showcasing our sounds live in a venue or town near you.

That’s it for now. We don’t want to clog up your inbox so expect another up date in a month or so when we should be able to introduce all the new labels that have been contacting us wanting to get on board.

I am pleased to announce that two new pieces of music I have composed this month are being released on the mighty Storejam website – http://www.storejam.com on Monday 28th January 2013.

‘We Rise’ began with a piano loop, which then progressed into a deep rolling piece built around a classic Maya Angelou quote about not giving up when life gets tough.

I am proud to be a part of a brand new drum and bass download website entitled, ‘Storejam’ (www.storejam.com) , founded by the mighty Phatplayaz and his team of web developers.

It is a brand new portal for downloading music, giving great deals to both artists and labels alike.  It will be like I-tunes and Beatport but without the bureaucracy of a distribution network meaning music will be released much speedier than is currently possible with other download sites, thus benefiting everybody involved!  This is needed more than ever, with the rate at which music can be composed and completed by artists and it will mean that you will not have to wait as long to purchase the music you like!

Lots of artists such as Dynamic and Blade as well as labels including Fokuz are already on board.  More and more people are signing up and it has got a lot of  people in the scene talking. 

I am releasing three EP’s initially.  The first EP is entitled, ‘The Power of Music’:

 What is  Storejam all about?

Storejam is a brand new download site for labels and artists. It was founded by Graham (Phat playaz) and together with his team of web designers: James Bettinson, Sam Middleton and a promotional team, Storejam was developed.

Why Storejam?

The Storejam project is aiming to create a rewarding offer for labels and artists, but with a difference. We have listened to a lot of producers and labels’ comments over the last few years, and we know that labels, download sites and artists all need each other.  However, there are an increasing number of people complaining about the charges they pay.  Storejam is offering a great deal to everyone! One distribution company said to us, “Storejam is offering the best deal out there!”, well that’s great to hear but it is not all about Storejam.  It is also about putting money back into your pocket. Our thoughts are: you made the music; it’s your money and therefore you earned it”.

 What is so different about Storejam and any other download shop?

Storejam is offering a great deal back to you.  We will be returning money on sales to you, directly following an eight week sales period ( All dependent on workload).

 As well as music, will there be any other goods available on Storejam?

We are now building up a clothing shop.  Furthermore, there are going to be some great interviews; fabulous competitions; mixes (by some of the best DJ’s/producers at the forefront of the scene); developing music videos and Storejam live events! There are quite a lot of ideas we have, which will be shown on the site. Additionally, we are branching into as many different genres of music as possible in the New Year.

 Final thoughts?

This project is about bringing more and more people together, closer and in understanding the music and what we are about.  We are all part of a movement, let’s be proud of it!  Storejam will be releasing from as many labels & artists who are involved as possible and the way things are going, many labels are grabbing this offer we have presented!

ñ      There is no uploading fee for us on uploading your music.

ñ      All mastering will be completed here by the team if required, free of charge.

ñ      The artists will get 85% of all sales after Storejam expenses are paid.

ñ      You will receive detailed easy to read sales reports.

ñ      And for the best part, you will receive money from sales following an 8 week sales period (all depending on work load).

For the labels:

ñ      Tunes must be mastered by you, we will be offering a mastering service, but you would be charged.

ñ      The label will get 85% of all sales after Storejam expenses are paid.

ñ      You will receive detailed easy to read sales reports.

ñ      You will receive money from sales following an 8 week sales period (all dependent on work load).
